Yes, it will work. In 1967-71 era it was our bands only option. We figured that's why Fender amps had two channels. Yes, we were young and naive, nobody got killed, yes we got lips shocked. Now there are cheap options available that weren't available back in my high school days. When I first starte...

Old thread, but I recently purchased a Korg D3200 and it was the best 350.00 I've spent in ages. I only wish it had inserts and another aux out. I can't believe how much more I enjoy working on this thing. If I had to do any real editing I'd probably do it in the computer, but for actually recording...

Now, no one's gonna give no Champ love? I've got a SF Champ that came with a bum speaker when I bought it so I replaced it with a 50's style Weber and it's awesome sounding. Put it on ten and it's instant 1960's garage rock. Also sounds cool at lower volumes and in a pinch it sounds really cool on ...

My first foray into the world of analog synths, a Korg MS-20 Mini: http://i.imgur.com/JcWUHkm.jpg And possibly my favorite acoustic guitar I've ever played, a Martin D-18: http://i.imgur.com/UovJYe9.jpg That Martin looks sweet and I bet it plays even better. Just got an RNC off a forum member. I do...

How'd the vocalist feel about the sound? I'm not much of an engineer, but I am a vocalist and it's more about me being jazzed by the sound so I can give the best performance.

I don't have experience with a ton of amps, but I'm always happy with the sounds I get out of my JCM 800, Champ and Backstair HT-5. I probably use the HT-5 the most because it sounds like the 800 does, but at a much lower volume.

Good luck with it. I recently decided to simplify by buying even older technology and going the all in one route. I'm curious to here how you make out with the zed though as that's one of the options I considered.

Kaos pad will allow you to do a loop, but that's it. So if you just need to sample a phrase and mess with it they are great for that. I'm not sure if they are shipping yet, but the Korg Volca sampler looks pretty cool. You have to import samples from an iOS device though. You might also want to add ...

Just picked up an EV RE 320. I've only gotten to just test it out with my voice, but it seems pretty cool. I really needed a mic for bass and am hoping this will do the trick.

I used to have an old cassette deck that had 1/4" inputs and I would plug my guitar straight into it and crank the input gain to get distortion. Actually sounded pretty cool.

Had pretty much stopped recording four years ago when my daughter was born and I could no longer justify having my band making noise in the basement. The whole time I kept trying to figure out a space I could use to record and was thinking about getting a laptop setup or whatever, but then the compu...

I think the Vox Delaylab will do what you want. They were discontinued and GC blew them out for 99.00 a while ago so I'd think they would be pretty reasonable on the second hand market.
