Also I might try a switchable cathode bypass cap on the second 12AX7 stage - is this what you meant by "Blues/Overdrive", tubetapexfmr? That is exactly what I meant. When you run a feedback loop from the speaker out to the cathode of the second 12AX7 stage, then the switchable cathode bypass cap ef...

I know that vinyl is experiencing a resurgence of sort, but I'm not convinced that enough casual listeners have record players. I don't, and none of my bandmates do, either. Yeah, having the XLR inputs feed an unbalanced in with pin 3 hot is a pain in the butt, so if you can you should install some transformers for I/O. There ought to be room for some Edcor WSM10k:10k for both input and output.

There is this place in Asheville, NC: http://www.tapedupe.com/audio.html
They do good work and a friend of mine had a cassette only label that got his stuff done there and was happy with it. They used to cost $1.00 a pop but are now $1.25 each. Still a great deal. Can make any size run you want.

I say treat your release like a snowball. Get a short run and when it sells take the money and roll it into a larger run so that sales pay for new product and you're not out money or stuck with unsold stock. The best place to start is short run places and the best I've found is Kunaki http://kunaki....

Fostex VF80EX File Recovery

I have a friend who recorded a bunch of demos to one of these Fostex VF80EX units and the damn thing died on him. It was checked out by Fostex themselves and they said they couldn't fix it. So, is there a way I can recover these files by removing the hard drive? Anyone know how the drive is formatte...

Also, depending on the age / type / time of day / maintenance schedule of your local power plant, you are possibly not getting 60Hz exactly. Anyway, have fun. Love to hear how you are going to utilize this! Wrong. You ALWAYS get 60hz, things run on that as a standard. This never changes. Its the vo...
