So DP was unable to, then they made it possible in 5 (my version), and then they TOOK IT AWAY AGAIN?

Another one to add to the growing list of reasons to stay the hell away from 5.13 that I keep hearing about.

I'm 99% sure that there's a place in DP where you can set it up to record in WAV format from the get-go as opposed to exporting the files as WAVs after-the-fact. Just ran across this option recently. When I get home from work tonight I'll suss it out...

Call Glenn at GIK Acoustics. I can't say enough about the fast turntime and great product. Had it shipped here to the Bay Area for what I considered reasonable considering the size of the boxes. To clarify, I'm talking about somebody who can help me acoustically DESIGN the entire room from the floo...

Looking for a Good Acoustician/Consultant in SF Bay Area

Hey All, I recently purchased my first home in the north SF Bay Area (Santa Rosa) and it has a pretty enormous Garage that I will be transforming into a project studio starting this summer. http://www.greatmagnetrecording.com/00_images/studio_construction/newstudio1.jpg It's my first opportunity eve...

Just looking at the witless degradation of that GearSlutz thread just makes me feel all that much warmer and fuzzier about asking my questions over here where people offer balanced and rational opinions like the ones above. Granted their ratio of "power players" and "tech gurus" may be much higher o...

I've had an ATB 16 for about a year and a half and have had many problems with it. I'd find a vintage Trident and have it restored if I were you. I'd love it if you could expand on that...either openly or PM me if you'd rather keep it on the lowdown. Here's the GearSlutz thread link (I assume it's ...

New Toft Audio ATB Series...what's the catch?

Hey All, Used the search function and didn't come up with anything, so... I saw one of the the new Toft Audio ATB consoles in the vendor area at TapeOpCon back in June: based on the lineage, the name attached, the implied circuit design/topography and the fancy cosmetics I assumed it was gonna be a ...

Wow, the GT Convertible? sweet. I haven't used it much, really. Tried it once on a rock session, and in comparison to the 57 it had more body, but I felt like it had an over-emphasis on the midrange, but this is a different genre and might be more suitable this time. Yeah it's funny I actually WON ...

One simple thing I will say is that I see you have a GT convertible in your arsenal, and I did some experiments with using diffferent mics on a metal guitar sound recently (using a solid-state Randall GT-100 with boost on the input a-la Dimebag), and the GT Convertible was the hands-down winner for ...
