I love, love my Furman RV-1. Sounds great and real and nothing like a plug in.

You can get an incredible variety of sounds out of a Fulldrive 2, clean volume boost, tubesreamer boost and a bit beyond. Love me my Hotcake too! The Sparkle Drive is also great! I use all three all the time to push amps into bliss.

I came up with power supply upgrades (the stock CPS 150 is apparently barely adequate), a schematic for the input and EQ section and suggestions for replacing the caps with Low ESR Panasonic FM series or MIT Multicaps. IC upgrades are suggested using Burr-Brown and Analog Devices (no specifics thou...

it's pretty transparent, I use the inserts to bypass the preamps, which yields a bit lower level but works just fine. Though I definitely prefer the sound of the convertors in my BLA modded 002 to the Digimax.

I have the 16 channel version and I recently did some mixing on it, my first OTB mix I tried on it (been using the preamps for years). The mixes came out awesome! I kept thinking I needed to sell the board but now I am going to keep it for a long time, hopefully do some mods. I really wish I had the...

Really!? That is cool. Nice that they finally listened to people about that.

Yes you can run 8 on the 002. My 002 with the original BLA mod is running and sounding great!

The Leslie effect is from the DB-33 plug-in that comes with PT 8. Its an virtual organ but you can run an external source through it's amp and leslie. Damn useful plug-in. Plus mooger-fooger delay plug and a real spring reverb, a Furman, on the mixer. Mixing these songs has been the funnest recordin...
