I was finally able to track down some decent instructions - I have the .pdf if anyone needs it.
As it turns out, there's a hex nut beneath the JBL badge that tightens and latches onto the ball mount. Not sure the hex size, but it needs to be a pretty long wrench.
Best.

Need help mounting JBL Control 25's
I need help mounting a set of JBL Control 25 speakers that I just bought. I got them used and while the speakers work fine, I can't figure out how to mount these suckers. It appears all necessary hardware was included, and I'm attempting to use the Ceiling Mounts (Part # JBL Professional MTC-28/25CM...

I actually JUST sold the AudioArts last night after writing the update. If you get the chance to pick one up somewhere, they're totally worth it! I don't think you can even come close with an eq under $500. Only reason I'm selling is because I'm working out of a studio with Daking, Vintech, and GML ...

Spring Cleaning - AudioArts, Roberts/Akai, etc.
The wife has declared that I have too many projects - as a result I'm pulling a few things out of the racks and letting them go. Trying to save some $$ for an API pre. Located in Seattle. PM's are fine, or Email at iplaydabass @ yahoo .com is faster. AudioArts 4100 EQ : SOLD Biamp Spring Reverb: SOL...

I owned a brand new stereo pair of BLUE Dragonfly mic's for about a year. I tried them out on a variety of sources, and had fairly mixed results. I don't know much about the history/business of BLUE, but I have an older Mouse that is AMAZING. The build quality is superb, and the capsule rotates smoo...

Back in 2000 I bought a Victory bass, only difference was that it had the passive rail-humbucker pickup in a stingray position. It sounded awesome, but was heavy as a log. Great feeling necks on those basses! I think I sold it in 03, but kind of wish I hadn't. Especially since prices have steadily r...

I picked up some "standard" 500k's (CTS) & some Gibson knobs, all from Warmoth guitars, only to find that the knobs don't fit on the pots. They're the ONLY 500k pots that Warmoth sells, and the knobs pop up as a recommended product so I guess I assumed they would fit. Anyone have a god way of dealin...

I saved money and bought the parts, not the pre-wired kit. ...I haven't thought twice about it since putting them in my SG, money well spent in my case. Corey, Just out of curiosity - was your SG an Epiphone? If so, did you have to enlarge the drilled holes for the pots? I know there's an issue wit...

Thanks for the link! I like the look of those pots, however $180 seems a bit steep for a wiring harness! Even the $15 per "super pot" is a surprise.
Does anyone have any experience with these? http://www.warmoth.com/500K-Pot-By-CTS-P129C74.aspx
