Love the Rens on snare batter.
The Fibreskins can make Roto toms sound good. They do seem to like low tunings, but so do I.
Really want to try one of the Fibre/powerstrokes on kick, but haven't needed a new kick head yet.

Re: Guitar - Replacing Bridge Brushings for a Gibson

I have no idea how to do it without cracking the guitar in half. Any suggestions at all would be GREATLY appreciated. Place the guitar so that the body is flat ...

It should also be noted, that while those testers will indicate a properly wired receptacle, there are several consitions that will mislead them to indicate a proper ground, where there is not actually one. If you're really in doubt about any place that you spend a lot of time, get an electrician to...

Part of the trouble with the dimininshing returns cycle is that it's all interdependant, and there's a big variable involving your ears. I've sometimes gotten a piece of gear that someone, whose opinion I respect, has declared to have a, "night and day," difference from another piece. When I don't h...

Some notes of caution: Although the technicalities of the noise laws might ultimately be a protection, the police can and likely will, make your life miserable, if they feel that you are not responding properly to their, "authority." If you plan to rely on this, get a lawyer and prepare for a long n...

If you look over on GearSlutz, you'll find a long thread on the making of the last Kings X record. Micheal Wagener used MTS series stuff pretty much exclusively. Based on that, I went to check them out, and ended up with a 1x12 50 watt combo, and 4 modules. The plexi and SL+ modules give distinctly ...
