Too true - seems like every other band I work with (and I work with 2-5 every night) just dumped all of their profits back into their van. Maybe I don't miss the road as much as I thought...

Not all pots are sealed. Most pots used in guitars are quite well-ventilated, actually! Try Caig's "CaiLube MCL". Sealed pots are a different story...sometimes you can get some lube to work its way in through the shaftway, sometimes not. jt edit: DeoxIT and PresevIT are more for metal surfaces...MCL...

I may be mistaken, but I thought I read somewhere that he took delivery of #0001. Maybe in the Mix two-parter that ran a few months ago?

Speaking of a shiny RE-20, anybody have experience with the RE-27? It looks like a chromed-out RE-20, with a few tweaks. Never heard one myself...anyone?

You are probably better off going with an absorbtive/reflective combo if you want a multi-purpose panel. The chances of you stumling across the proper sequence for a diffuser (be it quadratic, primitive root, or whatever) is slim to none. You would most likely end up with a panel that reflects as we...

Well, sure. You could use a drill press. You'll need to construct a jig to hold the box in place while you drill. Use a metal cutting bit at a low speed. Also, somewhere out there somebody sells a die cutter for this purpose. You still have to drill a small pilot hole, but you could use a power dril...
