I'm on kind of the same boat as kdarr as far as not being to being able to afford a Neve 1073 or even a Distressor. For me its not the RNC it's the Focusrite Penta. Yamaha MC2404 - discrete pres?
I'm interested in getting a MC2404 that my friend is selling. I heard some of the old yamaha boards have discrete channels. Like the PM-1000. But I don't know I could be wrong. I think the board was made in 82'. My buddy wants $400 for the board. I think its pretty good considering its not a bad boa...
