Thanks, the website was so vague, I thought it was a scam. I wonder about the quality of the capsules, and how they would surpass an OEM Chinese capsule.

Has anyone heard of this website? I saw a link on facebook. They are selling 1 type of microphone capsule right now for DIYers. The website says the company started in November.

Was that only key light, or did you use 3-point? Great definition and contrast. GJ When the band was playing, there were two old tiny par (38?) cans that I jelled with light bastard amber. then I used the softbox as an overall fill, so there was really 3 lights, but they were all mainly from the sa...

sounds good. I just sold this guy a D4 for a different application, maybe he can use it for the drum set also. How about a photo of the kit?

WTB Electronic drums

A friend of mine is looking for a basic, inexpensive used drum kit. Something for his son for Christmas. Anybody got an old set gathering dust in the closet?
Thanks,
Anthony

Awesome thread! I've been looking for a simple synth or drum machine to get my brother for x-mas. These are perfect. Thanks!

Wow, thank you. I did a couple of things to keep the video looking good. I used an LCD monitor during filming to make sure the image was lit properly. I used some clip-on (pie pan looking) lamps with CFL bulbs to fill in shadows. Also, like I said, I made a large DIY softbox with 5 CFL fixtures insi...

Thank you! I wish I could do the same for all of our local bands, but it takes cooperation and drive. This band had spent a decent amount of money with me in the studio, so I was glad to be able to help them.

New music video and song

Here is a music video that I made for a local band. I also recorded the song at my studio. We have a really close-knit music community here, and I liked the song so much that I wanted to do a video. I made the video (with help from my wife) using a Canon HG21, with clip-on lighting fixtures and a DI...

Mixdown only. It sucks that when I export a mix in Nuendo using the LiquidMix, it bounces closer to real time, instead of super fast time.

So Far So Good! I ordered a 15' Firewire cable from Redco and so far my Liquidmix launches the first time, every time!
I'll keep my fingers crossed just in case. I'm still afraid of using it on sessions because of the horrible crashes and mix engine failures that have occurred in the past.

Thanks Kingmetal. Won't I have to upgrade some of my hardware to switch to a 64 bit OS? If not, i'll get another hard drive and do simultaneous installation like you did. Thanks for your help.
