So if you use the analog inputs on the 4300 series, wouldn't that bypass any conversion?

High passing the overheads can help with bleed from the bass. You'd be surprised how much of the really low end an upright puts out from about 6 ft. away. Especially in a small room with less than perfect bass trapping.
