Re: anybody here using n-Track Studio from FASoft?

Ive used N-Track for a while. Its got good bang for the buck. VST, VSTi, DX, DXi effects, easy to use, good forum, and (like me) cheap.

Give the demo a go. You got nothing to lose by doing that. Version 4 is to be released soon. Buy now and Ive heard you get the upgrade for free.

Re: any thoughts about the Epi EB-0?

I cant speak for that exact bass, but I have an Epi Thunderbird that I really like. Thunderbird = the most beatiful guitar/bass ever...IMO. If your bass has the neck dive problem maybe this website will help. It did wonders for my bass (not sure since its Epi Thunderbird specific): http://www.lysato...

Didnt Jack Endio post on here a while back that he used a 58 on Cobains vocals on Bleach? I know that album wasnt suposed to be on the same level production wise as a U2 album but I have no complaints about the sound he got out of it.

Don't mean to offend anyone, but Plant's cat-like wailing just ruined that band for me. I liked their riffs and the awesome drumming...
Id back you up on that... Sometimes his voice is like nails on a chalk board but the rest of the band did fine.

Re: please suggest an great alternative to cooledit pro

I use N-Track and it works fine for me. I cant say how well its sound engine compares, but ive never complained. The midi editor isnt any worse than the one on Protools from what my limited experience has found. There are so many free vst's and its low price its hard to go wrong with N-track as a st...

Re: TapeOp DIY Omnis... What about Fig 8?

Thanks for the replys everyone. If I decided to make a cardiod replacement end for my mic, would these panasonic cardiod mic cartridges be a direct replacement for the omni ones? Would I have to change the capacitor if I doubled up the cardiod mic cartridges to make a fig 8? Even if its not a vintag...

Is it possible to alter the circuit on the Tape Op Omni's by adding another mic cartrige in some way to make it a Fig 8 pattern mic?
