tape one to the drummers chest,or hang it around his neck.
tape them to the floor,either in front or behind the kit.


you can tape them to a piano lid if you need to keep the lid shut and the piano buried in blankets.......

the countryman is great,it holds it's own against many a more expensive box.well worth the money
our tech,Ken McKim makes a DI box under the name the Retrospec Juice Box.Tube,class A design.probably the best DI you will ever use.

there is a place in Seatle that deals in bizzare connectors.i can't fro the life of me think what it's called,connector world supply,maybe...they'll have whatever you need to make whatever kind of adaptor you desire..

you know,it really does depend on what the song has going on,blah,blah,blah....that being said i find that i use delays more than reveb,just to give a bit of depth to things.like,pan a guitar to one side and then a slight delay of it panned the other way.or i record a room mic with the guitar and pa...

beyer 260's in an X/Y configuration.nice centre image.realistic stereo image.good sense of depth.good cymbal tone........but really it comes down to the guy playing.does he wail on the cymbals?? they are gonna sound harsh whatever you do.and yeah,old cymbals all the way.don't compress them too much,...

one guitar at 9 o'clock and the other at 3.not as much distortion as you would think.bit of delay on the vocal.........
back in black has the best kick drum sound ever

i didn't listen to the clip so....... 1. try and get some distance between the drum and the mic.you should be able to get the mic about 5/6 inches off the head.this will give the sound a bit of room to "breathe". 2.pointing the mic towards the rim will give you more crack and towards the centre more...
