"scenes" tend to revolve around bands that get along and play together, or at least show up to see their friends. make friends with other bands...you never know. and besides...sometimes the other bands are the only ones who show up. now if it's the state of pop/rock...

my friend got electricuted in high school while singing thru the same mixer. completed that loop...and yowza. someone has it on audio tape of him grabing the mic, screaming, and hitting the stage. guess he should have taken his hand off his guitar. not funny at the time...but hearing it years later....

great tracking room esp for drums w/ a legacy.

i'd guess its the pickups on your sg. the sg's i've had have always had a bit of bite and would feedback. those pickups are wound to be pretty hot and that body is pretty thin. if you plug in another guitar and nothing happens...that's my guess. your amp is fine. don't tap the tubes...just turn down...
