presonus question

Are the pres in the firstudio different than those in the firepod? Looking at the presonus website I believe that this might be the case. Has anyone ever A/B'd these two?

Here's another approach:

Record it without a click and then try to map a click to that recording. Then rerecord to the mapped click. Sometimes it can it can make for more natural ramps between the varying tempos.

There is always the musicians guide to home recording. Some of it is kinda outdated in that it's not going to tell you much about te functionality of a DAW, but as far as basic principles i think it's a good overview.

Jon checked out your tunes and really dug them. Made me wish we were heading no...

I'm sure he's nice, but I really wouldn't want to record with Steve. That's probably no fault of his own, but after connotation/rumors/incredible records I don't see how I would be comfortable enough to get any sort of a performance out of myself. I am insecure. I would however hire Bridasvky to eng...

DOD headphone amp

I need a new headphone amp. I've been watching a DOD SR460 on ebay thats looking like it could go for cheap. Anyone have any experience with this unit? I'm replacing a dead powerplay and would like something nicer. I'm also strongly considering the Rane HC-6, so if anyone could tell me how the DOD s...

regarding the one trick pony thing: i just tracked an entire record using nothing but the aformentioned 360 and we got enough variation in tones to be happy. some might listen and disagree though. we did have a few other guitars available and at no point did we feel inclined to use them. that is bec...
