Haven't yet gotten the RSM-4 modded by Joly. As is, it's great on electric guitar, drum overheads, acoustic guitar, room mics, bright acoustic instruments (ie, mandolin, dulcimer, banjo, etc). Pretty much anywhere you'd use a ribbon. I'm sure Joly's mod makes this mic even better, his work speaks f...

the onstage is OK; a bit cumbersome but useable (unlike any of their other stands!).

my coworker has the ultimate and likes it alot.

if you have the coin, go with the atlas.

Interesting point of view! I haven't really heard that too often. What do you consider a good alternative(s) color box? (btw I hope that doesn't come off as a sarcastic "is that so", I'm definitely interested!). no problem. i'm sure i came off as an asshole, but i'm ok with that. i probably am one....

44s for life.

the RCAs will smoke royers, except on HEAVY guitar stuff (i.e. metal).

the only ribbons that can hang, IMHO, are coles 4038s.
