beyer m-99
A while back i got an M-99, because i kept hearing horror stories of peoples m-88s dying suddenly when used as a kick mic. I liked the m-88 just fine as an inside kick mic, but i didn't want to fry it. Turns out i like the m-99 lots more on kick than the m-88. It just sounds huge, but not flabby or ...

So, try revive an older thread, i've been experimenting quite a bit. Initially i had very good results with my old inner tube u-87. Nonetheless, i kept trying other mics and settled on a 3 mic arrangement that i think i first heard of here. It's an xy sdc pair (beyer mc930) at a little less than a f...

Allen & Heath GL2400 Mixer FA
Hello, I just listed my AHGL2400, 16, 4 bus on ebay with a very low starting price. It's listed as local pickup ony (reno nv) with free delivery within a 50 mile radius of reno, but i could meet bay area tape oppers half way. It's a very nice little analog mixer that has been well cared for. thanks,...

Thank you! We had a little oud and drum jam last night, no recording. It went well, went for more of a middle eastern, trancy sound with the oud amplified and run through pedals. Going to try and start recording this winter, but we have a lot of ground to explore. It may turn out best to go for a li...

It's expensive, but the chase bliss gravitas has a "harmonic" mode where the LFO modulates the tone of the pulse and does a sort of lo-fi thing. Seems interesting. I don't think the pulsar has anything like that? I wouldn't mind trying out the zxev sonar. That resettable ramp up or down in speed see...

I dunno if this is relevant, but i'm kind of a trem nerd/afficiondo. My favorite trem ever is the goatkeeper. But i also have a dano cool cat trem and it's very nice. Simple but sounds good to my ears.vvv wrote: I'm thinkin' I need a better tremelo pedal than the TR2, and I want the Neo Nano Grail also.

Sorry about that, i guess i have oud on the mind these days. Still would love to hear the jazz covers, good luck at the festival! The oud sessions will be down the road a bit, maybe just some informal tests in the near future. I'm incredibly swamped with school right now and my band is getting ready...
