Yes, I've noticed with pretty much anything 'ethusiast' related, you constantly search for better and better quality -- and undoubtably regret the earlier budget/beginner purchases you made. I'd like preamps for all 8 inputs on the delta 1010, I'm using it simultaneously with a Delta 44/Omnistudio -...

Re: How to find good mic sounds when recording solo
Great information so far, I'm going to make it a point to rock headphones whenever I'm moving mics. thethingwiththestuff: perhaps this is more 'experience' related, but what is the technique for detecting phase problems in the headphones. I would imagine the sound is more decayed and less sharp, wha...

How to find good mic sounds when recording solo
I have a pretty straight forward question: What's your technique for finding the best mic placement when you are the only engineer or you are recording solo? I've been doing a lot of running back and forth b/w control room and sound room. Do you have the musician play and then move the mic around wh...

SM Pro Audio, M-Audio Preamps - or go with a mixer?
I just picked up a Delta 1010, need to amplify the signal with preamps. My first inclination was to go with a Mixer, but I wonder how much I could use it considering the functionality of the software (Logic 5). I was looking at these: SM Preamp Rackmount (this seems too cheap to be good, but it's ex...

Re: Any problems using two M-Audio cards with Logic Audio?
Well.. just got off the phone with M-Audio
Their word:
You can use up to 4 Delta Interfaces at once. If your computer is well spec'ed (I'm using a P4 3.0ghz, 1GB ram machine), there shouldn't be any problems.
Best,
Steve

Any problems using two M-Audio cards with Logic Audio?
I've been using a M-Audio Omnistudio (with Delta 66 PCI card) with Logic Audio 5 on WinXP for the past year. I just purchased a Delta 1010, thinking I could use it in addition to the 4 channels I/O I have from the 66. In other words I'd now have 12 I/O at once. Did I think wrong? Can this be done wi...

WTB: Used Condenser Mics < $400
Looking for instrument/drum overheads -- a pair, they don't have to be matched.
Also looking for a good, warm vocal mic that could double as a mono overhead.
in NYC/Westchester area a +
Thanks!
