Re: Imagine if you stole $1500 from me...

Be smart with your money. You can get a personal loan from a credit union with a signicantly smaller amount of intere...

Re: the mixing formula.....????
Thanks everyone for responding...... From what i can gather, he's very happy with the mix (that's what he says). He's just looking for a second opinion from someone with more experience. That's why i've been posting. I'm very happy with the work we've done, I just want him to know there is nothing e...

Re: the mixing formula.....????
Dave- we've got a good selection of compressors, it may not be a bad idea to insert one on the master buss (we've got an amek 9098, a tube tech, an avalon, and a summit DCL-200...any suggestions). I haven't been running the overall mix through any sort of outboard gear because we're constantly addin...

the mixing formula.....????
Hey everyone...... i've got a question. I've been working on a project for close to a year now, and the other day, my client (who is very particular) says that we must be missing something because these mixes are only about "95% there." His biggest complaint is that it sounds great in the studio and...

Re: Making electronic piano sound REAL (or just good enough.
I'm not sure where you're postin from, but there's a studio here in chicago called acme that has a grand piano that accepts midi files and plays them like a player piano. I'm still waiting for the opportunity to pop up where this will work for me, but it seems totally awesome. Record your midi file ...

What style of music are you recording? Do you need a really nice tracking room, or are you doing more electronic based music?

Re: old tapes gumming on heads
Nick- First of all..........i'm really really sorry that that happened (i'm the a$$hole that refered "the guy" to nick for the transfer). I really would have expected him to have baked those tapes. We had a 2 inch tape come in about a year and a half ago. We put it on and rewound it. about halfway t...

Latin Jazz Piano Player wanted in CHICAGO
I've got an interesting project that I've been working on for the last few months, and we need a Latin jazz piano player (salsa-esque). If any one knows of a really good player, please email me at blamrecording@aol.com This project has a budget and all of the muscians have been well compensated for ...
