Re: shedshrine build 3.0 - furniture, cats, gear, enlightenment, and yer mom, man

Hmmm.. I mean It was high up there, but big, silent and moving in such a controlled manner.. and that turning to a ball of streaking light upon exit, well that was hard to miss, however perceived. It was not from around here was my perception. I don't know how familiar you are with Star Trek, but as...

Re: shedshrine build 3.0 - furniture, cats, gear, enlightenment, and yer mom, man

Cool corner tower light box there Scott. Got a little Deco vibe to it! Yeah, I know, it's a weird story. But I am fine with people being not all in on it. It's so completely off-the-map foreign to anything we might encounter in our day to day lives. And I understand what you're saying, maybe creativ...

Re: Compact Disc collecting ( and surrounding planetary atmosphere )

Now you tell me... couple months ago I threw away most of the CD collection. Kept all the odd stuff I still liked, and of course all the Tom Waits and such. Ha!, I figured you'd hold to your Tom Waits. I've just got Swordfish Trombones and Raindogs. (on vinyl as well). Curious what all would be inc...

Re: Compact Disc collecting ( and surrounding planetary atmosphere )

The sad thing is I probably have almost as many copies of CDs from bands out in my studio that never sold, or the band broke up, etc. Many boxes... lol Hmm..unsung band cds. Just an idea, to give them a moment in the sun, If you like, would be cool to see a cover shot of these band's cd's and a lit...

Compact Disc collecting ( and surrounding planetary atmosphere )

They're shiny, they're colorful, they play music. You know it's coming. Or some people are saying it's coming. I mean it may be coming. The resurgent popularity of physical media expanding to cds as a trend, (and to an extent with cassette as well.) July 1981 What HI-FI? article announcing some kind...

Re: shedshrine build 3.0 - furniture, cats, gear, enlightenment, and yer mom, man

truth be told Mr Vlayman, :high: I couldn't figure out what exactly you were trying to say with that. Was it just to be silly with a non-sequitur, or suggesting a floor to ceiling bong to seque from the bathtub twist pole idea, or "this convo is getting too straight" or .... :D what's the deal ming?...

https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/c48/shedshrine/FullSizeRender(15).jpeg So I picked up Rush’s Hold Your Fire today. Seems to me these 200-gram Rush remaster/reissues of their entire catalog are meant as a gift from the band to fans and record collectors. Yes, they will make millions, but they...

Re: shedshrine build 3.0 - furniture, cats, gear, enlightenment, and yer mom, man

We've got one of those spring loaded twist to tighten ledge to ceiling poles in the kids' bath that came with a trio of little racks affixed for shampoo and soap and such. Those are pretty damn ingenious. As for the sound room, I can see having one next to the desk with a twist on or flip type re-po...

Re: shedshrine build 3.0 - furniture, cats, gear, enlightenment, and yer mom, man

Thanks for the suggestion! Were it a larger space and operation I’d be more likely to look into floor standing gobos, but there’s really not that much room in there. It's mostly going to be just me doing track-at-a-time stuff. I have the wall mounted cubicle walls up, I should add some wall foam in ...

Awesome. If I see made to order wave-form embroidered cable management sacks on Etsy I know where it all began. Yeah, I'm still working out the sound management situation as well. download.jpg I’ve got a couple double curtain rods arriving this week, one to go in front of each of the two doors to my...
