It came out to like $1200, and that was maxed out at 1 gig of ram. Yuck. I think there are better ways of spending less money...

Roberts Tube Reel to Reel FREE (already claimed)
Somebody got this already!!! Now that analog tape is DEAD!!! I MUST PART with my beloved Roberts Reel to Reel. It just kills me that I will never get to bask in the vintage analog splendor of this fine tape machine. It does not work. The transport is fine but the heads look like something from an ar...

I'll admit he had his moments, but then he was in the 82nd Airborne for more than 20 years. And while Progress might not always please everyone, it is a necessary course for the advancement of civilization. It was after all the pursuit of Progress that brought you tape recording in the first place....

RCA BA-23A program amp... is this a tube mic pre?
Hey, anybody know much about these? What is a good price?
Is this a mic pre or just a line amp? how much gain is it capable of?
I heard it used as a direct box and it was very nice sounding!
Wondering if it could be used with ribbon mics etc...
thanx in advance,
tony echos

Re: Kelsey mixing console
I saw one of these in the trash on a sidewalk here in Brooklyn. I passed on it, it just looked like a hunk of 70's crap. I mean everyone rags on Mackies but we must have come along way, I think todays budget mixers are way above crappy 70's mid-price stuff. Thank god- Well I would def. take it out ...

Re: Kelsey mixing console
I 've heard of 'em but havent heard 'em.. maybe you can demo it somehow and see if you like it.. ? Too far away. It is not alot of money for a 24 input board... but then if it is not usable then it is a waste of money. I just do not want to end up with something that has no headroom and a good loud...

Re: Kelsey mixing console
It's Kelso boards that were designed by ex-Neve employees...right? Not these Kelsey's....someone? Later, m The Kelso line is a neve product. This is a different affair. I know they were made in New Jersey (not far from NYC, which probably explains how Wharton Tiers came upon them). Most of the ones...
