Old Alesis Micro/Nano half-rack effects
Had a couple of these beasts at differnt times, namely the original and second Micro-Verb's. The original had some great sounds on it, especially what I'd call the "deep-space echoing forever" setting and the "backwards 'verb" that actually came in handy on a recording or two. Anyone have any Micro/...

Prog-Rock Fans?
Anyone here a rabid prog-rock fan like this Owl? Do you get chills up your spine at the sound of Mini-Moogs and Mellotrons? Do you thrill to death-defying passages in 17/8? Do you love the sound of clattering percussion, improvised madness and twisted guitarists who play sitting down? Let's hear fro...

Stand-Alone Digital Multitracks---Your Thoughts?
Ina while, I am looking at purchasing a Korg D-12 or D-1200. I'd like to hear from anybody who has used them, the good, the bad and the ugly. Also, would love to hear comments on any other currently available digital units of this type (like Boss, Roland, Akai, Zoom, Tascam etc. Fostex I won't even ...

Re: Speaking of EH pedals... here's a rare find.
Man, I didn't even know EH made a 16 second delay. Man, I need it... This is well known as the mother of all looper delays. It's quite legendary and we should all bow to those who own them. It's a really lo-fi digital delay that has this great, lower bandwidth delayed sound that lets you do up to 1...

Re: Gibson's Underdog - The SG
I think the next two guitars I get are going to be an sg and a tele..I have had a bunch of les pauls and some fenders too including my first guitar a 1962 fender jaguar. Because i wanted to be just like Robert Smith. Do you guy and girls know if the necks are bolt on or glue on with the SG model? A...

Re: Gibson's Underdog - The SG
What??? No mention of Mr. Zappa as an SG fan? He was a devout player if the pictures from the '70s are any indication. I know shit about guitars, but I've always loved the extreme double Florentine cutaway look. The devilish horns just say RAWK to me. I like the EB4 for the same reason... How could...

Re: Favorite 1960's Batman Villains
You know what else was cool, Bat-Music wise? There was a Batman and Robin album that came out when the TV show was on, it was financed by a toy company in New Jersey, and featured The Blues Project, a couple jazz cats and the one and only Sun Ra ! They weren't credited on the cover (of course) but i...

Gibson's Underdog - The SG
Anyone here besides this Owl have a fondness for Gibson/Epiphone SG style axes? I know some folks can't stand 'em but personally, I thought this was the coolest 6 or 7 pounds of mahogany that Gibson ever put out! :D For one, I LOVED the way if felt against my body, easy on the shoulders and it looke...

I've heard horror stories of peple finding bees (in a garage studio) and in one case, a Screech Owl.

A cherry-red Epiphone/Gibson SG, man, this thing ROCKS, the pickups have some serious kick to them. I also use a Line-6 POD 2.0
