The thing I've been doing since February

Bit of back story.. I used to sing and play guitar in bands until I was 21, which was about 1997, but that just kind of ran its course, it'd been six years, a lot of songs, and I was just done with it and I felt I'd run out of things to sing about. I played a bit of clarinet as a kid (picked it up again in my mid 20s), and we had a piano growing up, so I tinkered with that too. I tried guitar very briefly at 13, bought a bass instead and forgot about it for a couple of years. When I was 15 I started back on bass, but I found it hard to sing an...

I work for a non-profit arts network - http://www.utrophia.net - and run a mobile recording rig that i use at the space a lot. The whole arts network is not-for-profit, and I record bands I like for the love of it. There are a lot worse reasons for doing things than love imo.

It's sad to see that still, after all these years, Jeff is still getting a rise and a debate out of more open, more secure people. It's almost cartoon-like, a caricature. True - there is an element of "joke's on us" for partaking. One might ask why he posts on Tape Op and not on gearslutz, where he...

I think the remix thing is fun, no harm done, no threat to anything, just a bit of fun for those people who might seek out stems ...

We'd do everything live, set a boom box up at one end of the room and position ourselves in the right places around it, like they did in the 40s and 50s, though obviously they didn't have the boombox. Then I moved onto doing sound on sound with a karaoke type of box: record something, play it back, ...

Really, really great. What song is that? CAN, 'Vitamin C' (on Ege Bamyasi) btw, rig, very nice stuff. really like the section starting around 0:35 that becomes somewhat torso-like in its sinewy contortions. Thanks! I'll have to check that bit out, see if i can see it, it's really weird what some pe...
