Protools Midi track is silent

Hello, Please help me with something obvious. The top midi track in the image below is not making any noise (no it's not muted), but the one below it works fine. They both worked yesterday when I last opened the file. I know I did something turning one track gray and causing it not to respond. I'm s...

Stretching audio in protools

Hello,

I remember doing this in a class I took (almost 8 months ago), but I don't remember how to do it. I'm using M-Powered 7.1 and I feel so powerful.

Thanks

I have not tried it with external pres. I mostly use it when I don't have time to fire up the computer and I just want to get an idea down. I use it like an old cassette four track. I'll try to record with it using an RNP and at4040 over the weekend.

Jeff - No, the BR is not what you are looking for. The sound quality will not cut it for acoustic piano. Might as well be a synth if you are recording with a BR. And I like mine. What I am looking for is something portable I can use to transfer a rough mix of a track I am working on to, go to somewh...

Thanks for your input. I'll confess I'm still a little confused, but thats alright. I should probably explain my situation more. I'm purchasing a couple of racked channel strips and I'm psyched, but the it has unbalanced 1/4 ins and outs. The only other unbalanced stuff I have is my RNC and RNLA and...

Unbalanced equipment in a balanced world

I searched but did not find what I was looking for, so I could use your expertise. My patchbay and most of my gear is balanced, but some of my gear is unbalanced. What is the best way to hook up the unbalanced and balanced together. Do I need special cables? Or do I just ride with it? My patchbay is...

Being the first act signed to Apple records by Paul and George might build up your ego a bit as well, not to mention his raw talent.
