I was re-installing windows on my laptop and forgot I had my external hard drive connected I hit L to delete that partition, then realized what I did I now cant seem to access my external hard drive Is there any way of recovering it as i havent formatted it or written over it? Presonus Digitube pre/eq issue

I have just got hold of a psuedo valve mic pre/eq When I run audio through it, it seems to be distorting just on the lows belom about 100hz. The rest of the frequency range is ok That is with all processing bypassed I wondered if it might be the valve or it is underpowered The back of processor says...

PSU for Lexicon fx unit question

I have been told that this PSU will work for my Lexicon MPX 100

It seems alfully small in physical size though?
ANy thoughts?
I have a multimeter, how do I test it to be AC output 9v 1a?

I was thinking about using one on an insert
This way you can drive it if you so wish
Now heres the question;
Obviously Ill use a TRS, now if I use balanced cable, can i use one wire for the send, one wire for the return, [/i]then split the ground wire?

Theres copper in the brown wire
AND
as of the other transformer, its the shape of a 9v battery but about3 times bigger
It has an aluminum case

MPX 100 capacitor upgrade

Ive just picked myself up a MPX 100 and am interested in doing these upgrades I bought this unit for $70 dollars, and wasn't pleased with it. The effects sounded thin and tanky. After one reviewer talked about upgrading the caps, I went ahead and did the same. WOW! It totaly transforms every effect....
