I have just got hold of a psuedo valve mic pre/eq When I run audio through it, it seems to be distorting just on the lows belom about 100hz. The rest of the frequency range is ok That is with all processing bypassed I wondered if it might be the valve or it is underpowered The back of processor says...

I have a multimeter, how do I test it to be AC output 9v 1a?

Ive just picked myself up a MPX 100 and am interested in doing these upgrades I bought this unit for $70 dollars, and wasn't pleased with it. The effects sounded thin and tanky. After one reviewer talked about upgrading the caps, I went ahead and did the same. WOW! It totaly transforms every effect....
