A plug for Hollowsun

For those who don't know, Hollowsun is a small company that makes some great sample libraries for Kontakt. I found out about them while following the restoration of a Novachord which, as some of you are aware, is an amazing old early tube synthesizer made by Hammond in the 1930's. Since discovering ...

I was about to start a thread about this album. I haven't been so turned on by new music in a while. Unfortunately they just played Portland last month. Pretty good interview here: http://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/mar/13/the-war-on-drugs-adam-granduciel-lost-in-the-dream And have you guys ever ...

I bought the Minilab last month. I have a 2007 MBP 2.4 Intel Core Duo, and the software hasn't crashed once. Unlike U-he Diva, I've never maxed out the processor either. Maybe there's something else going on. I bought this at guitar center, and the guy made a point to tell me that it wasn't a return...

I have to chime in to say I love your music as well. If you ever need to borrow a Rickenbacker 12 string just ask. Best of luck!

http://i.imgur.com/xMO3Vza.jpg I just got this from a Goodwill in Seattle. Ace Tone Top-7 organ in good shape. I'd never heard of an Ace Tone until I heard one recently..a small story: My girlfriend won 2 tickets to the Pickathon festival. Three days, multiple stages on a farm outside of Portland. ...

Signed up, but don't see anything about a giveaway. Regardless, I'm now reading reviews on the PVB, and am thinking about getting one. It looks like it's a lot more useful for other tasks than the smaller reflection filters.

Frustratingly, I signed up only to find that the deadline for downloading the stems has passed. I just wanted to hear how the songs are put together. If anyone felt like bothering to send these to me in some fashion, I'd be very grateful.

Yeah, but if she CAN read some copy at the relatively quiet time late at night that I'd attempt this, we could do it again at a more suitable location. I'm not bringing a total stranger over to my house, and she'd be right to be cautious about that as well. Hell, maybe I'll have my gf use her ipod t...

Thanks to everyone. I think I'll print this out, drop it off to her and offer to record her. I could do it on my laptop at the restaurant! Especially if there's a quiet moment!

My only involvement in music currently is at home. Just trying to help a fellow human out. Specifically, should she get an assessment of her strengths in person, or record a demo? If she's underemployed I assume even an hour at a studio may be beyond her reach. Is there still a market for voiceover ...

Voiceover work - where to start?

Every two months or so the missus and I get a craving for Wendy's. There's a lady at the one on Powell here that has an amazing voice. Very nice woman as well, prob around 40. I told her she ought to do voiceover work and she said she's been told that before but doesn't know where to start. I know n...
