yeah, it's an otari. it does live in the machine room, with an access door in the control room. apparently 4 of the channels dont work. but it was given to me, so i cant complain.

Hey, I spent the past three months building a new studio in Bloomington, IN. I got a huge building that was wide open with 17' foot ceilings throughout. I then designed a space within it. And then took a crazy loan out, and with the help of many friends, built it. I didn't cut any corners... redisig...

hey, if it's just the cable and not the connector, you can just get standard 6 conductor tube mic cable. i get mine from redco. the connectors on those are pretty shifty though. if those have gon bad, it might tough to replace, but it also just might be a cold solder joint, especially of the cables ...

i already have a crane song spider which is an 8 ch. pre and 10 ch a/d. and it's awesome. however, when i do mobile gigs, i want to have something that i can pop out of my rack really easily and take with me. The Crane Song is a total pain in the ass to pull out of the rack. It's not going anywhere....

how is that no one really seems to know about samplitude? this is by far the best recording software i've ever used. jumping frrom sonar (back when it was sonar 1) was the best thing i had ever done. samplitude is super intuitive, extremely fast and ergonomic, and stable. i use it like a tape machic...
