I keep a lot of magazines around. People have actually been really good about reading them when they're not recording.

I've decided to finish this record I'm working on TOTALLY sober. All natural foods, no booze, pot, etc etc. My mind feels clearer than it ever has in my life.

Regardless of which method is "right", flipping back and forth between pothead and very very sober has been educational.

I regularly use the Manley Vari-Mu with an outboard L2 and heavy kick drum has never been a problem.
