Some of you might enjoy it. I've posted this in the past but now I'm revisiting it, and the entire album is available for online sale.

Enjoy.

Sub Metered Electricity.

So I'm currently in the planning stages of opening a mid-large facility in NYC. We've got some real estate slimeballs with their feelers out looking for places that were previously built out as recording studios, if only to save an ungodly amount of money that a design/construction job of this size ...

did the drums sound "crisp" and "bright" when they were in the room? that'd be a great starting point. takes all the guesswork out that you're going through now.

FS: BLUE Kiwi with box, "the shock", and "the

Excellent condition BLUE Kiwi 9 pattern condenser with cherrywood/crushed velvet box, and BLUE's "The Shock" shockmount (which works on a bunch of mics, by the way) and "The Pop" pop filter. $300-400 in accessories. Mic looks and works awesome. $1500. Cash/pickup in NYC studio preferred (test the mi...

I'd say to grab an Electro-Voice RE20, a Beyerdynamic M160, and an AKG C414/ULS. You'd spend about a thousand bucks if you buy used, and you'd have 3 microphones which can literally record anything you want to record.

Forssell makes the JFET opamps. Each preamp (the first two channels being the exception, as they're identical circuits) does indeed sound quite different. I matched mics to preamps accordingly. Drums, bass, and one of two guitars is done. I'll finish up tomorrow and try to get a rough mix up for eve...

some things to consider: your 002 will only do 16 (18 maybe?) channels with a separate D/A converter, and cannot be expanded further. therefore you'd never use 24 channels of whatever console on mixdown, due to the limited inputs of the 002, you wouldn't be able to track the entire console at the sa...
