Phoenix TOMBers
Just curious how TOMB members are in the Phoenix Area. I have seen Tucson in the "Location" tag, but don't recall seeing any Phoenix locations. Is everyone just lurking?

Re: Anechoic Chamber - The Anti-'verb
Folks, For the Intel DAW contingent - here is a cool, great sounding (if subtle), freebee plug that can help undo ill-considered choice of tracking room or previous processing. Get it here: http://bram.smartelectronix.com/plugins.php?id=5 Yes, Virginia, there are great free tools. Happy Holidys, Bi...

You must go to Drew's site and read the cartoons. I liked the "If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the precipitate." so much, that I had a friend with one of those "make transfers with your printer" setups make one. I now have it on a t-shirt. Imititation and flattery and all that....

I bought a pair of these last spring from GC. They each came with an insert that shows (apparently) the response spectrum for each of the mics. The last page shows a date code of 30-06-03 and I am guessing that is either the test date or the final assembly dateand could be easily faked. I have taken...

It seemed that they went dark abruptly. I looked at interfaces for a long time before purchasing a Q10. When researching, the word "low-jitter" kept coming up a lot. When I looked at Aardvark and saw that they came from the world of synchronization, and their boxes were and still are widely used, I ...

Alesis 3630 on a Satellite Dish
This looks like the right forum area, if not, I apologise. I have DirecTV and a 55" HD television and I have always hated having the commercials considerably louder than the broadcast. Alesis 3630 to the rescue.I patched this baby between the reciever and the television a few weeks ago, and it sure ...

One thing I saw recently that I really liked was the rack mounted equipment here: http://www.redrockrecording.com/control.html Everything is mounted into the wall and starts at about waist high. I love the ergonomics of that. You don't have to be four inches off of the floor trying to adjust things...

When the TOMB crashed and was restored from backup last spring, I was an "Ass Engineer" again. I'm afraid to post and see if I am an "AE" for the third time. The Catagory list is certainly larger, but the one that I went after right away was the "People Skills". Always looking to improve in that ar...
