Tobot - you're kidding, right?
So where's my critique, my sites aren't perfect, but if that's the impression I should leave with.... *runs with it!*

Uh, recording guitar direct? It's not so bad clean, it's easier to work with. But distorted stuff? Nope, sounds like ass, and I won't record direct on any album unless the song calls for a lo-fi-crappy-distorted-fitting guitar part.

Re: When is your album done?
I hate short attention spans. Not necessarily the people. I like to listen to 7 to 10 minute songs, even if they are quiet and maybe repetetive, because I see the point of it - mood. Everyone today wants it NOW and it has to have a HOOK! Hooks aren't bad but not every song has to have them. As long ...

Re: Let's critique eachother's websites.
seeabove A no-bull minimalist approach, even though the grunge is trendy. A good job, but I'd make the navigation font more readable, some might find it hard to read. Presskit, wallpapers are nice offerings too. I think visitors would appreciate more member info right off the bat, though. BTW, I ho...

Re: Let's critique eachother's websites.
Sserendpity - good job. In IE it looks fine, yeah the header font might be a bit hard to read. In Firefox the scrollbars aren't colored and there are also horizontal bars in each frame. I like the layout idea, I haven't seen it used much. I tossed around something like that years ago but never real...

Re: why OS X and a MAC instead of a PC and XP ??
I started this article on starting a little home studio getup and releasing an album all for under $5,000 but some points were brought up in another forum when I went looking for suggestions so I haven't finished it. I did however write about 1600 words about the first step - choosing a computing pl...

Re: The meaning behind your band/name
Well I came up with a name for my second project. Again, this project is geared more towards upbeat, calm music influenced by ethnic rhythms and instruments. Halcyon Sedation "Halcyon" (hal-see-on) means 'at peace, calm' and sedation... well duh. The name is a bit redundant yes, but I like how they ...

Re: need web critque
While I think it could be done better I still think you have a good start and it's not overloaded with BS (like my sites) and yeah it works. Some suggestions of mine would be mouseOver links for the navigation row so the user knows just what they are pointing at... for instance "crown city engineeri...

Re: Oh sure why not
You have a good point that's been brought up before, but this is going on an album I'm selling for like $6... though, I do want to release 1 complete track for free, I'm thinking until it's released though.

Re: The meaning behind your band/name
I kinda like the simpleness of the site, nick. The meaning of my project name "the carbon flaw" is deep enough that I wrote an article about it: http://written.phait-accompli.com/opinion/flaw.php Synopsis: carbon is in every living thing and every living thing (or even non-living thing) is flawed in...
