So where's my critique, my sites aren't perfect, but if that's the impression I should leave with.... *runs with it!*

Uh, recording guitar direct? It's not so bad clean, it's easier to work with. But distorted stuff? Nope, sounds like ass, and I won't record direct on any album unless the song calls for a lo-fi-crappy-distorted-fitting guitar part.
