Hello, I just bought a Tascam 38 without a take up reel. Finally got the reel, put it on, and the reel gets caught on the Allen screw/bolts that are near the hub. It happens on both hubs. Actually I don't need any tape. I bought the machine merely to convert old reel into digital files, and then sell it. Thanks anywaze I 'll look into the plastic too!

I just got hold of a Tascam 38 and need a take up reel. What I have seen on EBAY just seems a bit much ($25), so I'm hoping someone might have one here on TapeOp. Say $15 with shipping (I live in Buffalo, 14150).
