Thanks for the replies. Unlikekurt - Yea. The problem is my master fader is at full volume. The mix seems to jive better with all the channels at lower levels. Baldfather - I was kind of thinking the same thing about having the additional head room. When I get two more songs done, i'll get them mast...

My Claim to fame is a young Ray Barbee (I'm guessing it must thave been '86-'87??) came to skate my vert ramp and broke his arm. 6 Months later. He was the hottest street skater ever. Nicest guy ever too. Also back in those days I used to skate a ramp is SF where a Tommies brother Tony G. and anothe...

So Yea! I have had a little time now with this amp. Being solid state I was a little weary, but GODAMM! the sound is jaw-dropping amazing. Amazing in that late 70's tranistor hesh-rawk way. Think .38 special, Sabbath (with Dio), Tom Scholz(sp??) and maybe a little Tommy Shaw (Styx). This thing is tr...

Rickenbacker Guitar Amps...Anybody???

HI Everyone. I just scored a Rickenbacker ROAD Amp (R-14 25 watts) this morning from Craigslist. I am wondering if anybody knows anything about these, have had any experience, know of any players that have used them. I guess Stephan Wolf endorsed them for a while, but that is all I can find out. Doe...

One technique I use for writing lyrics is to strum the song into a cheap, portable tape recorder, and free-associate nonsense sylables as seems appropriate, with a few words thrown in, off the top of my head. Then I listen back to see if anything makes sense. . Damm! I thought I was the only person...

I really loved my Vee Cee Three (an old one) when it was the only mic-pre I had besides the pres on my VLZ-1202. But then I bought a FMR Audio RNP and haven't touched the Meek thing since. I think though, after reading this thread, I'll give it another try...maybe on vocals,
