FS: Apogee Ensemble

Apogee Ensemble Firewire Recording Interface. NOTE: The Word Clock coaxial connections were damaged in transit and do not work , but an external clock can be hooked up through ADAT/Optical or SPDIF connections. Everything else works flawlessly. Great preamps and convertors. I've owned this unit sinc...

Thanks for the response. I might just sell the Apogee and UAD Solo to buy an Apollo Duo and keep the Mac Pro. I've read on other forums that the thunderbolt card on the Apollos runs off the firewire bus, and doesn't actually boost performance. It's essentially a $500 adapter for really expensive mon...

Should I ditch my 2009 Mac Pro?

I have a 2009 Mac Pro Quad Core 2.93ghz tower with two UAD-2 cards running Logic Pro 9. I also have a late 2011 Macbook Pro Core i5 2.4ghz laptop. I'm thinking of selling the Mac Pro, UAD-2 cards and my Apogee Ensemble to buy a Universal Audio Apollo Quad. My mixes usually don't involve more than 30...

FS: Neumann KM 185, trade for Blue Woodpecker?

Neumann Km 185 Small Condenser Microphone. With its hypercardioid pattern, this mic is really effective for canceling bleed in live recording situations. Sounds great on hi-hats, acoustic instruments, and I've even heard of people taping one of these to an SM57 to get a snare sound! The mic is in gr...

Yeah, I think back then it was understood that artists needed patrons. I think most artists are afraid to ask these days. So... the post script to this thread: I was able to raise $2300 and I released Everything Is Fine on CD in September. It got great reviews and it has sold steadily. I only have a...

Hey,

I'm almost to $2000 on my CD campaign. It's been slow, but it has worked. I'm pretty stoked!
