Anyone hear a price on Tascam X-48MKII
looks pretty good http://tascam.com/product/x-48mkii/overview/ but they did take shortcuts to get the performance 1) no vst 2) channel strip turned off by default not that bad - so its a BIG dumb digital recorder last one was based on XP - they don't say which one is this BUT the networking is Micro...

Not sure if this helps you.. I had the same issue years ago - but I went with keeping my old system and upgrading everything to firewire and usb (firewire for audio and usb for midi). I got multi io firewire and usb cards. Audio is RME fireface and midi is Motu MIDI Timepiece Old system works fine a...

Applying the same twisted insecure logic - should we also say "Don't play basketball unless you are Michael Jordan" "Don't write poetry ...

3) get some shielding around the frame and connect to ground http://www.lessemf.com/fabric.html Interesting site that sells the fabric shielding. Some of their products seem to be targeting the "tin foil helmet" people. LOL I should mention - I in no way endorse that site It just had a nice ...

After looking close at the picture I would recommend since you went thru the trouble of building that frame 1) Run ground and +12 bus bars down the back and connect the power inputs directly to them 2) bolt the power supply some where in the middle of the frame and connect to bus bars 3) get some sh...

yeah - i kind of agree with power supply stuff - (remember it not just a question of capacity - thinner means more resistance which causes shifting levels) power supply cables as short as possible thicker gauge where needed bus bars for ground and proper grounding for bus bar (massive braid/chain to...

Oops...it didn't email me that there was thread activity for some reason. Glad the sets got re-upped, and I like the second set too. Sounds like red_2 ends on the dub version of the first song in red_1a. I also love the cover of "I'll Be There." The second mix sounds more "wet". Is that an analog d...
