But mebbe the next one, if all y'all can stand a old guy with fake Southernisms. Dig, I lived south of the Mason-Dixon for 2.5 yrs. After ...

Chicago Beernight - Wednesday - 7:00 - Rock Bottom Brewery

Well, I just got off the phone w/ Mr. Hardy, and unfortunately he's not available to hang tomorrow night (scrambling to get prepped for AES). But he assured me that we should continue to extend invites, as he would love to come to one of these hangs in the future. I mentioned that we might try it ag...

My brother-in-law, who's a video editor (mostly auto industry and Six Flags commercials) in Farmington Hills, mentioned this a few months ago. He said his company was bringing in quite a bit of new equipment specifically for editing movies. I hope it works out, because according to him the auto indu...

Cool! Let's plan on 7. I'll probably be there a little early to reserve the table; I'll try to get a big one in the back by the pool tables. Just ask for the "Tape Op" table when you arrive, and we'll probably have a copy of the mag out on the table too, so just look for us. You'll know us by the om...

I can be there as early as 6:00, and I'll need to bolt @ 9:30. Last time, we reserved a table under "Tape Op" to make things easier for late arrivals.

Scott - when were you thinking?

Right on! Rock Bottom is fine by me.

Wednesday OK with everyone else?

Let's try to lock it in so I can give Mr. Hardy a fair heads up.

How's Wednesday (09/24) for everyone? Should we keep it in the loop? Seems most convenient for everyone - hopefully we can get more people from the suburbs if we can keep it close to the central transportation hub. Where's Archmart, Djimbe, and Kilroy? I haven't seen Kilroy post in a long time. If w...

Lock me up, cause I think I killed this thread!

I've been sick for over a week, as well as dealing with all that water over the weekend, so I'm just now getting back to this beer night thing.

Anyone want to meet up next week?

Wherever - I don't mind trixies. Green Eye sounds cool. Piece is always good, just a bit loud - they do have the pit though. Rock Bottom worked out pretty well last time. Scott - Is that like Isaac the Bartender? Very cool. Let me know if you decide to selling any. dwlb - Any night next week look be...

The Auralex Xpander set is OK, but I think you'd be better off looking into Mod Traps. If you DIY it, that's more of what you're going to get than anything else on the market today. FWIW - AH gave them a glowing review.

I'm in! FWIW - I think Rock Bottom worked out pretty well last time.

Scott, any new mics to debut? Anymore Alice/Audrey mics available?

Who wants to call Mr. Hardy? Didn't someone promise to call and invite him to the next outing?

I picked up two of the Radial ProRMP passive reampers to feed my stereo pedals, and haven't had a problem with them. I usually drop the output of the pedal into my Manley dual mono tube DI, followed by the M-1 or 2-610. Now feeding an amp may be another story, one where an active reamper is needed, ...
