tascam 22-4.... what can this baby do?

I just picked one up. where does it belong in my studio? does it do nice enough things to print to it instead of summing ITB? (assuming I keep things within a reasonable amount of tracks. I can always print 4 and then 4 more, etc.) what kinds of things should I try with this? right now I'm listening...

Behringer Truth B3031A - anyone hear/see these?

I've got some tannoy reveal 5a monitors. I want to get something bigger, but don't have much cash other than what I can sell the reveals for. these seem like they might be a decent choice. does anyone out there own a pair or have you heard them?

it's pricey, but I might buy a 8ch interface to have some extra pres and get the studio one artist version with it. then just upgrade for 200. so basically you get studio one pro and 8 ch of (janky/spare) preamps for 500 instad of just studio one for $450 it's rock solid. the only thing I don't like...

ok. I went to the music store today. tried some pianos. here are the results casio PX series: did not like the action. a little too stiff and not "bouncy." which made things like trills really hard. Yamaha P85: I liked this one a good amount. very responsive. Korg: they didn't have a SP250 or 170. I...

I'm leaning towards korg stage piano offerings at the moment. either the SP250 or the SP170. I found a good deal on a used sp250 and I might bite. someone let me know if I'm going to hate the feel of the keys. that's the biggest reason I'm getting a new KB. I only have 49 unweighted keys at the mome...

what is the cheapest fully weighted 88key KB on the planet?

I know these two are pretty inexpensive: m-aduio prokeys 88 casio px-130 my only criteria: 88 keys fully-weighted midi capable can anyone tell me of any other fully weighted 88 key keyboards out there? There are probably some used ones to look out for too, but I don't know enough about keyboards to ...

haha, jease. I fought to get some time in my school's studio, who are SUPPOSED to let me. I think I touched the console for 5 minutes every other week for a class. they would always give me the run around when I asked how to get real studio time. I can't believe someone would intern and NOT take you...

anyone want some fun instrumental stuff to mix? (PT)

Long ago I was in this band. we won battle of the bands at our university and the prize was 5 hours of studio time. we tracked, but mixing/post-stuff was not part of the prize so we just have 2 songs that have barely been touched. http://www.myspace.com/silentplanetart (note: I really wish the other...

audioengine A5 vs. tannoy

I'll cut to the chase. is this a good idea? 1. Sell my tannoy reveal 5a monitors 2. buy a pair of audioengine A5's? I'm not super happy with the LF response of the tannoys and I think the highs are a bit exaggerated too. kind of like someones put a slight tilt EQ inside them or something. has anyone...
