Rub a piece of plastic over it for a while and tell me how it looks. Several coats of urethane would guard against scuffing well. Ebony is hard but not impervious.

I saw that shit on Gizmodo today.

I'll say it one time people.

PHANTOM CHANEL! You do not need more than 4 speakers for surround sound unless you want vertical placement (in which you need 8, 4 on the floor and 4 on the ceiling)

My Morley slimline Echo Volume. Kicks Memory Mans ass. I can swell in my optically controlled analog goodness with my foot.

Second is my modded Ross Phase Distortion. A buddy put a different transister in it and now it is more like a fuzz.

You could also glue that sound deadening rubber mat stuff used for floors to both sides of a solid core door. It seems like 2 doors is best though. An air gap helps a lot.

$300-400ish 4 out of 6 of the VU lamps are out but the meters work fine. The Ch. 7 Stereo assign is cranky but usually works (may just need to be cleaned.) a few of the fader caps are loose but none are lost. It is very clean I bought it, used it to record an ep, moved to a smaller appartment and ha...

I ponder selling My 320B from time to time and shipping is always the hang nail. these things are way big and heavy compared to a similar Mackey and folks just dont want to pay to have it shipped. The 320B is perfect for an 8 track though. they have 8 dedicated tape returns other than the 20 full ch...

I second the ASIO driver. You need to select your Tascam ASIO driver in the preferences for Cubase. You are probably using the drivers for your defalt internal audio card and that will always suck. Off the top of my head, I think it is under "Preferences / VST / Audio Driver" or something like that....

I've got a question that's partially related to this. Correct me if I'm wrong, but positive pressure on a mic diaphragm should appear on a waveform in a DAW as a peak instead of a trough, right? So if I record myself tapping on the grill of a mic, I should see the waveform move up initially, and th...
