Hey!

Hey now...leave us drummers alone...

...but I too signed up months ago and never go the email either.

The site does seem a little dodgy. I imagine they may have lost funding to get this off the ground completely.

nice

When I heard the news, I went straight to the studio and recorded a version of Thirteen. For some reason I also videoed myself tracking vocals and put the whole thing up on youtube. The recording and such took a little more than an hour. Watch it now before I become too embarrassed and take it down...

Great guitars...

Our guitar player (Joe Jack Talcum - Dead Milkmen) used one for many years in the late 80's/early 90's. He has the rotary switch / Bill Lawrence model (Joe still owns it). Great guitar! He also played (and now is back to) playing SG's.

I don't know anyone who buys/uses cass...

I have the extreme good luck of having access to one when I need it.

It will be sad....

I just hope that it won't be bought by some wealthy individual or corporation and turned into a "Beatles Museum" or something like that...

I hope it remains a recording studio...at least long enough for me to record there someday! :D

Hey Chris - years ago I saw Lets Active and they did a rocking version of "Classical Gas". Does Mitch still pull that one out sometimes?

Wow! That's cool!

I've been listening to "Wilco (the album)".
Also St. Vincent's "Actor"

Both of these are favorites from 2009.

For his installation in The Curve, Boursier-Mougenot creates a walk-though aviary for a flock of zebra finches, furnished with electric guitar...
