$40 a month for the starter package, which includes 80 file removals. Those 80 downloads would be worth $56 on iTunes. Yes, they could be potential seeds for thousands and thousands of downloads, but I don't think this is really an issue for all but the top 1-2% of bands. Plus the average downloader...

Re: Client wants to "part ways", won't pay for mas

I had a period of time where I was working 15-16 hours a day. He never booked time with me during this time, so I was just exhausted when I came home each night. I never meant to blow him off. I'm dealing with some converter issues, the final result of which may be an open PCI slot on my computer. Should that be the case, I'm all over that UAD card. I'll check back when that's all sorted out to see if you still have it.

Thanks for this! I am hoping to take this giant leap myself in about a year and a half... so far your blog has not deterred me, but certainly has given me a lot to think about and plan for. It also makes me glad I won't be building in Brooklyn!!

You may be able to get by on the same laws that allow paparazzi to photograph celebs in public and people to videotape you getting it on on a public beach and sell it to a porn site. In most states, you are only protected from filming, photographing and recording in areas where you have a "reasonabl...

Somewhere, there is an EXCELLENT thread on gain staging somewhere on this board. I think Joel Hamilton started it? I didn't find it with a quick search, but maybe someone knows where it is? It really cleared up the digital recording levels issue for me. It's important to remember, as Wlouch mentione...

touring with a modular and a THEREMIN. i'm pretty sure that the iPhone might be running the T-Pain app, from the trilly auto-tunish thing his voice seems to be doing. lose a couple points there.

i also took the statement to mean that Ansel Adams specialized in a certain type of photography, equating the choice to specialize in black and white landscape photography to deciding to be a tracking, mixing or mastering engineer. it doesn't mean that he doesn't understand portraiture, architectura...
