I'd offer up my place but I just sold the house and will be relocating/rebuilding in a month. Yeah, I heard. Where are you moving? If there's a possibility that I could do some work in your new space, I could maybe pitch in some labor to get you up and running. Give me a shout if you need a hand!

I think there's a difference between 'being a douche' and not replying to an email thread which appears to be fruitless. Creative people are often moody and impulsive, and you just have to get used to that. I try my best to keep organized and on top of email conversations, but some people are just n...

Myspace for talking to bands.

Facebook for talking to fans.

It seems like all the musicians are gradually migrating to facebook too (to keep in touch with their fans), so soon myspace will be completely redundant.

Re: WTB: Spectra Sonics 110 cards

Hi everybody, I'm looking for at least two Spectra Sonics 110 cards preferably with transformers, but not necessarily. Or maybe two 101 cards. Anything. Thanks Philip Shaw Bova I've seen them on ebay a number of times for $50 or so. I have a pair of the 110's racked... really clean and fast, but th...

Nice. I'm sure I can find a few dealers up here to check 'em out. It *would* be nice to buy speakers with a return / exchange policy for once.

right - my point was that there is always summing going on with the monitoring process, even if only listening to a single track. But within the DAW engine, if internal processes are being computed at 32 bits, isn't there a conversion from that back to the 24 bit (or whatever) that gets sent to my ...

MONITORS - nearfields, under $2k /pr

I'm thinking about replacing my Tannoy System 10's and Yamaha NS-10's with a single, more accurate set of monitors. I have a NAD 2200 power amp which I've been using for many years and I like, so passive monitors are fine. I am not opposed to active monitors, however. I've been looking at the follow...

WANTED: Gefell M70 capsule

One of my M70 capsules kicked the can. One day after getting the MV-692's back from repair (converting them to XLR's and fixing a low-cut switch, which cost me over $400). It is driving me nuts that I have spent so much money and the mics still aren't working. Fucking modular mics. So, now I need an...
