i am planning on doing the 3630 mod actually, thats why im on the prowl for a cheap 3630.
which version of the mod did you do? did you DIY or get BL to do it for you?

i might be picking up a 3630 really cheap because it has no PS and was just wondering how difficult it will be to find one that will work. i know it is 9V AC but was just wondering how many mA it is and if it is pin positive or negative.

which cheaper opamps did you use?

I was just wondering if anyone has had experience doing this mod/using the mic. there is a little bit of stuff in the archives but its kinda old, just wondering what people think of them now.

pay $40 and get the instructions and the BOM, that way you can skimp a little on the opamps if you are not willing to pay $20 apiece. I did 2 3630's for $100 - I just bought the VCA's and IC's from Matt with the instructions. its the best mod I have done yet. so it only cost you $100 for two? does ...

i had read that digi stopped the support. good thing is that there is a great group of people at DUC that seem to be pretty helpful, and the forum has years worth of posts about trouble shooting, recommended systems etc.... im sure that 6.4 will be fine for me. im not really one for tons of tracks p...

its really easy to swap the drive yourself and ive also read that it doesnt void the warranty. check out this link for more info:

i think its probably a good idea to check mixes through those things, its the way that alot of people will be listening to it.

the guitar sound is a combination of which guitar lennon played, how he played it, the amp he played it thru, the mic he recorded it with, and the placement of the mic from the amp and the preamp, and the compressor, and the console it was mixed through etc...... but it think all that kidna goes wi...
