btw mine is the 602 II

I had the Yamaha HS50's, the 5" ones. I thought they were great when I got them, and they are very good. But they just didn't cut it for me in the low end, I don't have a sub either. So I upgraded to the HS80's with the 8" and they are a step up for sure. They make the HS50's sound inferior overall....

Yamaha is a weird company. Their engineering is a little bizarre. Like I had their standalone hard disc recorder, the AW16. Had 16 tracks, 8 recordable at one time. So, they make the damn box with 2 XLR ins and the rest TRS. Why only 2 XLRS???? Talk about inconvenient. They always limit their ins an...

I've been switching between a dbx 163x and a symetrix CL150. Both can do some cool stuff.

For "cheap" stands I've had good luck with Hercules stuff. Heavier duty than your typical 'stage' mike stand, and their clutches actually hold really well.
