Magix, the makers of Samplitude sells a package of plugins including a transient designer similar plugin that sounds really good to me. I haven't tried a Transient Designer though. Regards

First off, it's 9am here so I can't turn up the volume or I will wake the others so I might miss some stuff out from the listening. This has a really nice sound to it. Really relaxing and I wouldn't believe this could be someones first (full band) recording because the sounds are really good and eac...

Ok, I'm in. I just had my first session recording drums at my spot. One mic over the kit, speaker cab as kick mic. This is the raw track. I haven't done anything to it yet. What would you suggest? DivShare File - 11-AudioTrack 11.mp3 You have a nice blend of the kit there. Probably a good mic place...

I think the snare is close soundign and the rest is further sounding. I am used to hearing the kick and snare up front and therefore I don't like this sound as much as what I usually do. But you have captured a crisp and nice sounding snare! I always have problems with that.

Stoked Up

I would like to hear some criticism on my latest work ( http://interfearingsounds.com/xpe-su.mp3 ). It is a local band that I recorded in a common rehearsel room. My recording equipment is an Echo Audio Layla3Ginterface, Line Audio OMP preamps only (except bass guitar) and various common cheap mics....

My own private Idaho... Great and different movie. I love Phoenix's acting. Sorry to hijack and being off topic! I will listen now and hopefully come back and comment on your production. Regards

I'll go out on a limb and suggest that if you're using an Echo interface, there are probably better ways for you to spend $6000...
No, no. I didn't mean that I wil spend 6000 to improve my Layla3G, but maybe 400 for the Black Lion Micro Clock. Regards

Joel H and Marcocet, when we are on the subject of clocks, do you know from own experience or other trustful friends that something like the Black Lion Audio Micro Clock can improve an Echo Layla3G? Black Lion Audio themselves replied to me and said that it will make quite big improvements but I wou...

Sometimes you have to do some real deep investigations on your own cause no one else seem to be able to give the right answer. It was a while ago, but I think i remember the solution. Open up the pre and inside on one of the pc boards there is a trim knob that is flat and small. Just lower it from 5...

I have to get more m201s. I have one and it sounds so good on snare and yet I don?t use it that often. Must be that it is so good that I am affraid it will get hurt so therefore I keep it looked up. Hehe. But seriously, it is really really good. On top of the snare it captures a lot of detail and a ...

I recorded a band with this power conditioner last year and that recording never sound right. Not kicky and "crunchy" sounding like stuff I've made after that project without it. This time I took this one out of the closet and thought that I probably just imagined that it sounded dull the last time ...
