i want to post a vote for this

http://www.mercenary.com/smmiwitatr.html

a 57 with a TAB Funkenwerk transformer. i put one of these transformers in my brother's 58 and even the non-engineers in the room were instantly impressed by the clarity and lush-ness.

totally great for the price.

spent more time with the other engineers there because he was in NY a lot. nice guy.

looking forward to reading!

i've found that on-stage-stand brand has improved their design quite a lot in the last year or so. putting them safely above the rest of the middle of the road brands. i've been through several stands over the years, they break and get replaced. i'm finding that on-stage brand last really quite well...

hmmm... that is very weird. any other buses in use besides 1-2 in this scenario?
what happens if you do a "bounce" instead of mixing down to a new track?
shooting in the dark here.

yea FW is popular in work station situations because the protocol works totally different than USB. you can chain hard drives to interfaces with out a problem. 400 will be plenty of bandwidth for any speed spinning disc drive and then some. the way it all works the devices talk directly to each othe...

check out zildjian K series all the way around. hi-hats, crash, ride. dark, precise, all the frequencies you want with out other stuff adding to volume of the crash. also best i've heard for recording.

if i was outfitting a drumset with cymbals i would buy all K series.

i think i agree the vocals are sometimes low, but not so much that i would blame it on anything but taste. besides that i think the sounds and mix are stellar! i love how many different guitar tones they get, and all of them sound great. and probably my favorite drum set sound from any Foo Fighters ...

i just upgraded from old M-audio's to Adam A5x's and couldn't be happier. my room is a couple feet bigger than yours, and i felt that my room wasn't so big that i needed to go up to 8"... but i also have a sub. so i chose the A5x over the A7. word seemed to be that the technical improvements they ma...

there is still a version called 9 HD but i'm not sure what few features are different. a bit past my expertise.

win7 64 is certified for the latest pro tools versions. the interface doesn't affect ADC for plugins but non avid interfaces can't do low latency monitoring and don't know, by default, what the round trip delay is for hardware inserts. so like, sending your track to outboard gear and back in. you ca...
