Re: FS: AT4040
add to this OBO. I will consider trades for the following: good pre's, a nice sub or a solid state poweramp for my playback system. If you have something worth more than the mic offer that up too and I might be willing to throw some cash with the mic to make it worth your while.

Re: Many Subwoofer questions
just a quick note, yah on the floor away works, but i argue with the technical side that says the human ear can't pick up the directional of the sub... I know that I tend to feel it more in me if its at my feet when im at the desk than when its to the side of me on the other side of the room, etc. I...

i really love the hd24 and mx2424 alike for field work, the difference in the two is really how many on board editing capabilities you need....

FS: AT4040
Hi guys, I bought this for a session that ended up not happening. It has never ever been used. In fact its only been out of its box twice. It comes complete with full original box, case, shock, etc. I paid 300 for this just a month and a half ago. How about 280 shipped insured to your doorstep? Jonny

Re: Step-by-Step Oktava MK012 mod? Sound Clips?
I just recently heard some overheads done with the Dorsey Mod vs the regular 012, sounds pretty nice IMHO. A really cheap way to get an even bigger sound out of these inexpensive mics.

Re: Hardcore promotion of an Indie Band. HOW???
pick up the book "how to start a record label" (its something like that) dont buy it, just read it at a library- you will have plenty to spend your money on soon enough. It will give you a LOT of good advice. I've been doing this sort of thing for years now, if you need advice drop me a line and I c...

Re: Million dollar guitar sounds for $58
i dont know that id say sooner is always better than later... probably about 70% of people I work with to record could probably use another 2 months of prep before they start laying down tracks. More and more, sitting in other sessions I'm getting to get the sense this is the way it is across the bo...

Re: Million dollar guitar sounds for $58
I don't think EVERYTHING has a place in recording. If you're going out of your way to find a place for a harsh sounding mic pre, you're wasting your time. But obviously, there probably are some uses, such as the very specific "loud snare behringer compressor" scenario which work. i never said anyth...

Re: Million dollar guitar sounds for $58
behringer stuff is great. if you listen with your ass.
come on people, does anything have higher self noise than what they make? ok maybe stuff from rat shack, but come on, have some pride in what you use and what you do.

if you are paying over 300 new for a 4040 you are getting ripped off.
