Hey kind folks, Just another newbie question: Just picked up a small 4-bus Soundcraft mixer with direct outs on it's mono channels, which I plan to use as an eq-able front end to my DAW and my analog 8-track. The bummer is that the phantom power is the kind that affects ALL CHANNELS when you turn it...

Incidentally I should also point out I'm talking about your basic Behringer $100 outboard compressor here for this scenario...not an 1176 or anything fancy. That said, I do have the UAD-1 card in my computer so that's the kind of tone I can get post-signal.
