Plugging into the chain that you described, and hitting your Roland via a line input should be a mind-blowingly obvious improvement over just plugging into the Roland's built in microphone preamp. Turns out you were really, really right! It was a mind blowing experience. As a matter of fact, I boug...

One of my first "big" purchases was a Cranesong Avocet. Having a good stereo DA converter improved everything I was doing at the time (working ITB). It's great and I love it. And, it's obviously way more expensive than the Presonus. That said, there's another studio in town with a Presonus, and it's...

Yeah, part of the buffer circuit resides inside the 1/4" jack housing. If I had seen this sooner, I could have sent a photo. Glad you got it worked out.

My own personal aesthetic preference is very clean (NO CLUTTER!) and modern. I like the 2001: A Space Odyssey vibe. However, after working in this room for a few years, I'm starting to find it a little too bright. I can dim the lights. But, it's not the same as having some darker colors providing wa...

OH MAN, LOLOLOLZ! My 14 year old nephew is so stoked to go with me this weekend to check out Pinkish Black, Pallbearer, Saint Vitus, and Kylesa. There will be plenty of phenomenal musicians on the stage. He also likes a few Lady Gaga songs and some Pink Floyd stuff. His enthusiasm for music is so in...

I didn't even see your second post, at the top of this page. FWIW I agree with that one, too.

LOLZ. I'm starting to think you and Jeff "$30" Robinson are the same guy. I'm not even LOLing about your post. I'm LOLing that this whole "everything was better before, nothing is good now" thing still comes up. I agree with everything you posted. If Jeff Robinson and I were the same guy, it would ...

I think you should take a hard look at whether anyone really wants to get a CD from you before you waste money on it. The only promotional people I know anymore who care at all about getting a physical copy of a record are at college radio stations. And, they don't care if it's a digipack or a burne...

If the whole deal was tracked with cello a low cut filter and compression will be your best friends. Think of cellos as the electric guitar of the string world. It covers alot of the same range so unless you've left room for it in the arrangement you'll have to shoehorn it in with EQ and compressio...

Ahhhh, I admit that I misunderstood. I don't even use ebay that often. I didn't realize that the rating is only based on the last 12 months.

So, I apologize.
