Tracktion 2 problem

My tapco link.usb does not show up in the wave device list. it DOES show up in the list for default device for Windows sounds. This is especially strange considering it's the bundled software for the link.usb and the driver is part of the tracktion software. does anyone know what the heck is going o...

building an audio interface

anyone know of any kits or have any advice on building a USB interface with tube preamps? I want to make a nice, and beautiful interface with high quality components. I don't know if I'm way too concerned with looks, but I would love to build it in a nice rounded wooden box with very solid, sturdy m...

low end audio interfaces.

Echo mia midi or tapco link.usb?

any thoughts. anyone? I own both but I want to either rig up the echo mia to interface box, or get rid of it and use a link.usb and a midisport.

well...

you could reverse wire an 8 inch speaker and use it (as a microphone) on the kick... I hear that gives you a pretty nice low end. you still might want to use a condenser mic pointed at the contact point of the beater for punch though.

ditto

I have the same problem, sort of. my solution is to sing along to the recorded track. for some reason it makes my vocals better because I'll remember a few seconds a head of how I'm about to sing something and so it gives me time to alter it if I wish. I know it doesn't seem like it solves anything ...

audio interfaced with a decision.

I have two interfaces. a PCI ECHO mia midi, and a TAPCO Link.usb If the echo is better I think I'll ditch the tapco and wire up an interface box for it. if the link.usb is better I'll just grab a midisport and ditch the echo. Is there a cheap audio interface connoisseur in the house? thanks guys.

Just do like I did. Get a blank rack panel (or a project box) put a couple neutrik combo connectors on the front and solder it to a TRS. I have one with 2 combo connectors, 4 XLRfs and 2 plain TRS sockets in my rack. The combos go to my PM180. one of the XLR goes to my summit, the other 3 to the re...

oh thanks!

man, those are some great gadgets all around!

I think the M-patch 2 looks to be exactly what I pictured. Now all I need is TRS to universal (that XLR and 1/4 input combo thing) cables. I'm sure those won't be deadly hard to find though, right?

I've heard of a mysterious device called a "mixer" which may have all the capabilities you seek and more. How to acquire such a device I do not know. Now without smartassness, I've used a Mackie 1202 for that very purpose. I'm retarded. sort of. I wanted something tiny with only what I need and not...
