Disclaimer: I am endorsed by Line 6 aka the US distibutor for Propellerhead software. I have had it for about 3 months (came with my copy of Reason 5) and honestly installed it but never got around to playing with it because I'm too busy. I love Reason 5 though (been using since 1.0) so if you don't...

I think zen and knowing what you're doing would be knowing what is going to work for your band and the venue. Blazing amps are cool but I'm sorry yourshpw will sound like ass it if your singer doesnt have the pipes to keep up, or your drummer the power...or the stage is too small.

Are you using an external hard drive? Is there an option to power the interface or is it only buss powered? Try unplugging other devices and wall powering (or not) the soundcard.

Free bump. One question, what defines a "FATnastic" sounding mic? Is that like super fat?

I thought about it before I got a baseline Mac Pro and updated to PT9. I do most sessions at 24/96 and find native to be just fine. As others said I'm not really into the latency so I'd probably treat it like i do mixing through outboard, though I mostly do mixing and mastering only at home. If I th...

For extra protection you can though on eBay I would cyoa on this and notate it inyour listing if you go this route. But honestly I'd be more concerned with the rest of the recorder in shipment...definitely should pack the whole thing well and insure it.

Not my favorite mic on anything but it works on a lot of sources. Have you tried the KSM32 on guitar amp? Buy used...they are $50 all day on Craigslist.

Yeah but this is for Tunecore, a service generally dominated by amateur bands without label representation or management. There are probably a lot of groups that sell next to nothing on there, and a few that do okay. The service seems like a bit of a scedam anyway, its not like you need them to get ...

I never have used it, I like it fine off. Trick is to being creative with your EQ when recording, I boost highs on the way in and trim it back mixing, so noise isn't really a problem. I mean you still get a little but I think it adds a little realism. I put a 388 recorded song right next to digitall...

It makes me so glad that you guys have never purchased pirate brand name goods from China, or promo discs. Thank god nobody gives anyone a mix tape (or god forbid DISC) -- that's illegal and unethical. I know that you vaporize your computer after use so the e-waste doesn't end up in Ghana. I expect...

I think it's fucking great, I hope it makes it a little harder to steal records or whatever over the Internet. I just released a record (on a label, with decent distribution in stores in 40 countries) and can feel the impact of illegal downloading. For one our shit is everywhere online (illegally) w...

Sample on something like a Korg Triton, or use a module like the Emu Vintage Keys.
