maybe it's been this way all along on tapeop.com and i just haven't noticed it till now.... but in the year or so i've been checking out this site, it seems like lately there is a lot of negativity swirling around. to me that's just not helpful. if a piece of gear is crappy, sure... i wanna know why...

is a fuhrmann power distributor decent enough for a home studio rack?

i thought that one of the big selling points on the G5's is that they are supposedly liquid cooled.... is that bullshit? they still have a fan in there?

i also heard that you can't rack mount G5's sideways the way you can with G4's.... is that true as well?

i get so many different opinions from people about this.... i have a similar scenario on my G4 and i ended up partitioning my second non-system drive to have one partition for samples and one for sessions. it's been working out pretty well for me so far.

yup. i have the 120 gig and i love it to death. rock solid. in fact, i'm going to eventually replace all of my other FW drives with EZQuests.
